Scholarship Initiatives

Over the past few years, requests for financial assistance have greatly increased at All Saints.  The Board of Trustees is committed to making an All Saints education accessible to as many qualified students as possible.  The growing Scholarship Endowment is providing funds to offset the cost of providing tuition assistance to our students.

  • Scholarship Endowment

The All Saints Scholarship Endowment was established a number of years ago with the generous support of Walter and Sheila Umphrey.   In 2020, Sheila Umphrey gave another significant gift to the Scholarship Endowment, which increased the total to over $2.7 million. The purpose of this endowment is to provide tuition assistance for mission-appropriate students whose families are unable to afford the full cost of attending All Saints. From the Endowment’s interest and dividends we are able to provide financial assistance to deserving students each year.  Named Endowed Scholarships may be established by families or individuals with a minimum donation of $50,000 over three years.  Nine named scholarships have been created: The Raj Reddy Scholarship, The Parent Association Scholarship, The Low Family Scholarship, The Memorial Scholarship, The McAllen Family Scholarship Fund, The BMWL Scholarship, The Wilton and Effie Mae Hebert Foundation Scholarship, The Carla and Josh Allen, Sr. Scholarship, and The Sheila Umphrey Scholarship Fund.

  • Parent Association Endowed Scholarship

Established in 2017 by the All Saints Parent Association, this scholarship provides need-based financial aid to deserving students. The scholarship honors the countless hours of selfless service provided to All Saints by the parent community.
  • Scholarships for Individuals

We are also seeking donations for financial assistance to be used in the current school year.  Financial difficulties may arise during the year for families, and funds may be made available to assist with tuition in such situations.  Any size donation to the operating budget for financial assistance is greatly appreciated and granted thoughtfully to those with need.
  • Low Family Endowed Scholarship

Funded by The Beaumont Foundation of America, the Low Family Endowed Scholarship honors the Low’s long connection with All Saints over several generations. Gilbert “Buddy” Low served as President of the Board of Trustees, and his three children Rachael, Courtney and Mark graduated from All Saints. Eleven Low grandchildren are either graduates or currently attend All Saints. This scholarship provides need-based financial aid to All Saints students.
  • The Raj Reddy Scholarship Fund

Established in 2017 by his family and friends, the Raj Reddy Scholarship honors Raj’s positive attitude, academic excellence, and gift for leadership which distinguished him as an extraordinary graduate of All Saints Episcopal School. This scholarship will be awarded to students in grades 4 – 8 who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and financial need, with priority being given to middle school students.
  • Athletic Endowment

Established on May 11, 2016 in honor of Coach Dave Thomas

Dave Thomas coached All Saints boys and girls’ basketball teams for twelve years and made a lasting impact on students, encouraging them to grow in both athletic skills and character.  The Athletic Endowment Fund will assist in funding the essential needs of the Athletic Department.
