The physical education and athletic programs are devoted to helping each child establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle of physical fitness. The study of foreign language is an important link to expanding the students' view of the world. The Calcote Library and Discovery Center is the center of reading and research on campus to encourage students to be life-long readers.
All Saints is able to stay on the leading edge of technology by having one-to-one devices in grades K - 8 and an iMac lab for grades PK3 - 5. All grades attend regularly scheduled computer classes in the lower school iMac lab and the middle school collaboration lab. In addition, classrooms have document cameras and digital display screens as well as interactive whiteboards in grades PK3 - 1.
Our fine arts department offers strong music, art and drama programs that emphasize tapping into the creative spirit in each child.
All Saints continues its long tradition of offering one of the highest quality art programs for youth in the area. Beginning in Kindergarten, students are provided with a variety of hands-on experiences and exposure to humanities and cultures through art and its variety of mediums.
The Calcote Library and Discovery Center boasts an inventory of over 20,000 volumes of text, a primary library room, a middle school reading room, a green screen studio, makerspace lab, three 3-D printers, iMac computers technology, and other resource materials. The library is financially supported by the funds raised through the annual book fair. Gifts to the library are always appreciated.
The goal of primary school technology is to enhance the curriculum taught in the classroom by engaging students in basic technology skills. In the primary grades, students learn the proper use of the computer, basic mouse manipulation skills, and basic keyboarding and coding.
Lower School Technology (2nd - 5th Grade)
The goal of lower school technology is to enhance the curriculum taught in the classroom by engaging students in technology skills. Students work on developing keyboarding skills. Students learn to create, save, and print documents and create many products to enhance the core curriculum. Students also learn how to properly use the internet for research.
Coding is part of the Primary and Lower School technology curriculum. Students in grades 4 and 5 have the opportunity to participate in the after school robotics club and compete in the Robotics Wonder League online international meet.
The music program at All Saints offers the opportunity for all students, PK3 - 5th grade, to express themselves through singing, moving, and playing instruments. Students in grades 4-5 learn to play the recorder.
Performance opportunities include the traditional Christmas Pageants, Grandparents and Special Friends Day, and singing in chapel for all Primary and Lower School students.
The overall objective in Spanish class in 1st and 2nd grade is to develop listening and speaking proficiency. The students will comprehend basic vocabulary, structures, and expressions essential for everyday communication.
The students in 3rd through 5th grades will acquire language proficiency through speaking, reading, and writing. They will study the diversity of cultures in the Spanish-speaking world.
