All Saints Annual Fund

The information on this page attempts to answer the most commonly asked questions about the All Saints Annual Fund Campaign. For further questions about the meaning, use, or progress of the All Saints Annual Fund, please contact Suzanne Wolfrom at 409-892-1755 or by e-mail at swolfrom@allsaints-beaumont.org

1. What is the All Saints Annual Fund Campaign?
The All Saints Annual Fund ensures the margin of excellence at All Saints. An independent school relies upon the generosity of its constituents to provide an exceptional program and environment for its students. Many of the enhancements and "extras" provided at our school are a result of each year's All Saints Annual Fund Campaign. Without the All Saints Annual Fund, All Saints would have to cut programs or increase tuition significantly.

2. We already pay tuition. Isn't that enough?
No, tuition does not cover the cost to educate a child at All Saints. In fact, the school spends almost $400 more on each student than that student pays in tuition. The All Saints Annual Fund helps us bridge that gap.

3. Why doesn't All Saints charge more tuition to cover costs?
The Board is committed to keeping tuition at the lowest possible level while providing the highest quality educational experience for children. The ability to maintain a diverse population at All Saints is enhanced by affordable tuition.

4. Is my gift to the All Saints Annual Fund tax deductible?
Yes, it is! While tuition is not tax deductible, your gifts to the school can be fully deducted.

5. How much should I give?
We hope you will participate at a level that is personally meaningful to you. Remember that your gift, along with others, directly enhances your child's education. Last year's gifts ranged from $10.00 to $10,000.00. No gift is too small (or too large!).

6. Do all families of All Saints students give?
Our goal is to have 100% participation from parents, faculty and staff, and Board of Trustees. Historically, 100% of the faculty and staff, and 100% of the Board Trustees, give to the All Saints Annual Fund.

7. Why is 100% participation so important?
First, every family who gives takes ownership in All Saints and is doing their part to contribute to the solidarity of our community. Secondly, full participation makes a powerful statement to the larger community -including individual outside donors and charitable foundations that look for strong support within the schools they choose to support.

8. Can we designate where we would like our gift to be used?
Certainly, though greater flexibility for the school to use the gifts where they are most needed comes through unrestricted donations.

9. Is it acceptable to make an anonymous gift?
Absolutely. We are happy to honor this request.

10. Do you accept contributions of something other than cash?
Yes. We are happy to accept a gift of stock, real estate, or other forms of giving.

11. What about matching gifts?
Often we receive several gifts which are matched by employers of our donors. We encourage donors to check with their employers to see if this plan is available for them.

12. Does my pledge need to be paid immediately?
Families are encouraged to make their pledges as soon as possible, but it is acceptable to complete payment at any time prior to the end of the school year.

13. What will the money raised from the All Saints Annual Fund be used for?

  • Sending faculty to national conferences and providing other professional development opportunities for faculty and administration
  • Funding for curriculum review and evaluation
  • New curriculum materials
  • Technology, including upgrading the lab, new software, & purchasing new computers for classrooms
  • State of the art classroom resources, including new workbooks, maps, science kits
  • Music for choral and instrumental programs
  • A small portion of the fund will be contributed to the school's permanent endowment, further strengthening the long-term financial stability of the school and providing income for the current budget
