Student Council

The Student Council consists of the elected officers of the student body (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, and Historian) from incoming 8th graders and representatives chosen from grades 6, 7, & 8. The officer elections take place in the spring. Students with a 3.0 grade point average and good conduct grades are eligible to run for office. These qualifications need to be maintained throughout the school year. Campaign speeches are given in chapel by the candidates.

Once elected, the Student Council may undertake such projects as meet the approval of the Head of School and those which serve as a means of exploring leadership opportunities, expressing student concerns and interests to the student body, faculty and Head of School. The Student Council meets on a regular basis and maintains effective communication with the faculty sponsor.
