Primary School Technology
The goal of primary school technology is to enhance the curriculum taught in the classroom by engaging students in basic technology skills. In the primary grades, students learn the proper use of the computer, basic mouse manipulation skills, and basic keyboarding. Students use this technology to create many products to bring home.
Lower School Technology
The goal of lower school technology is to enhance the curriculum taught in the classroom by engaging students in technology skills. In grades 1 - 5, students learn keyboarding and constantly work on developing proficiency. Students learn to create, save, and print documents and create many products to enhance core curriculum. Students also learn how to properly use the internet for research and educational games.
Students in grades K – 5 go to the computer lab twice a week with their classroom math teacher to work on the STMath program. The STMath program emphasizes spatial-temporal reasoning and problem solving. The progra, aligned with the math curriculum, helps integrate math and technology.
